[:it]Laborator ( Laboratorio Chimico) è un club e cocktail bar nel centro storico di Bucarest. Caratteristica di questo luogo è l’aver recuperato i materiali, la pavimentazione e gli arredi che lo compongono, da spazi dismessi. Per esempio: i mobili arrivano da una vecchia farmacia, il parquet da una casa demolita, le condotte della ventilazione da una tipografia. Lo spazio appare piacevole perché le forme ed i significati sono legati tra loro. Chi entra nel club è subito spinto ad entrare in relazione con gli oggetti: il banco bar è composto da cassetti apribili, si può sbirciare nell’ottica di un microscopio, curiosare nel contenuto di un alambicco o perdersi di fronte all’esposizione di vecchi contenitori e variegati vasetti dell’antica farmacia.

Laborator dimostra che, più i luoghi entrano in relazione con le persone che li attraversano e più possono rivelarsi ricercati e vincenti.

[:en]Laborator (Chemical lab) is a club and a cocktail bar in Bucarest city center. What makes this place special is the fact that it is entirely made of re-used materials, flooring, and furniture taken from places no longer open. To state just a few examplse the furniture was taken from an old chemist shop, the parquet from a demolished house and the ventiulation ducts from a typography. The place looks nice and pleasant to the eye because the shapes and the meanings are linked one to the other. Whoever enters the club has an immediate connection with all the object he or she is surrounded by: the bar is made of drawers that can be opened, it is possible to look into a microscope or the content of an alembic and it is easy to lose track of time while looking at the display of ald containers and all sorts of jars once in use in the old pharmacy.

Laborator is a perfect example of the idea that the more the places get in contact and in relation with the people that visit them the more they become exciting, original and different.
