We sometimes put together our experience of food with the heritage of localĀ culture and local places. Changing the way we express the two is not only difficult but it also forces us to think of and create a new identity of places. I like the idea of Canalla Taqueria in Mexico where typical local food is served in a place disconnected from local traditions and linked to other things and other meanings. Simple materials, smooth lines and objects belonging to everyday life are the connections to coordinated image.
