Using to the full the entire area (1400 square meters) of what once was a supermarket discount in ex-Jugoslavia, Maja Vidakovic Lalic, Marko Basarovski and Mihajlo Juric, founders of reMiks, have completed their project of a supermarket concept store in Belgrade. This area was designed in a way that could be easily modified and therefore ideal to show and promote innovative ideas of local young designers. As part of the store you can find wellness areas, wine bars, cocktail bars, chocolate bars and much more such as areas designated to the creation of exhibitions and cultural events.
What strikes you about Supermarket concept store is the minimalist style combined with vintage objects whch here can find new lives and new uses. So it is that “fridges from the 70s” and the legendary Volkswagen mini buses are turned into bookshelves and concrete walls become catwalks for fashion events. The result is an amazing contrast between the simple architectural structure of what once was a discount supermarket, typical of eastern countries of the time and the exhibition of luxury objects and goods connected to important and famous brands.
